This is an experiment I’m doing with Notion. Don’t take it too seriously.

Hi, I’m Alessio Canepa I work where technology, people, and real-world problems meet. Over the years, I’ve worked on automotive, electric and hybrid vehicles, control systems, embedded systems, and machine learning.

I like turning complex topics into practical solutions, learning along the way and not taking myself too seriously.

What I do My main field is mechatronics applied to mobility: control software development, embedded systems, supervisory logic, and algorithms that help mechanics, electronics, and software work together.

I’m especially interested in designing controls that work well in the real world, where performance, robustness, hardware constraints, and reliability all matter.

Engineering & leadership I have more than 10 years of experience in the field and currently work at Iveco Group. I try to combine technical thinking, pragmatism, and attention to people, because solutions only really work when they are solid for the people who develop and carry them forward too.

My tech side Over time, I’ve worked with, studied, or experimented with:

In short: I’m interested in systems that move, use energy intelligently, and need to make reliable decisions within real-world constraints.

AI, embedded systems, and technical curiosity I’m fascinated by systems that need to make decisions under concrete constraints: time, energy, hardware, safety, and reliability.

Outside work I’m a sporty person: running helps me put my thoughts in order, release tension, and regain clarity.

Sometimes there’s also cycling and hiking: nothing epic, just the pleasure of being outdoors and moving a bit.

Family I’m married and have a son. Family is an important part of my daily balance and of the way I organize priorities, time, and energy.

Psychology and personal growth I’m interested in understanding how people work: how we make decisions, build habits, improve over time, and feel better with ourselves and others.

One sentence I like to keep in mind is: “Happiness does not depend on what you have, but on how much you appreciate it.”
